The Reading Corner
What is it?
The Reading Corner is our neighborhood-based program whose goal is to nourish the minds of young children by encouraging reading. The program consists of parent and caregiver education while modeling reading to children in a fun environment. The 45-minute reading program includes a snack. Each child receives one book to take home at the end of each session.
Can my child participate?
We would love to have you and your child join us! To be eligible for the program you must live in Washington Heights/Inwood and be at or below the poverty line. In order to ensure a great experience, we will limit each program to 15 children, ages three or younger. We also ask that you make a commitment for a six-week session. Registration is required. Participating children may miss two sessions, but their spot is given to a child on the waitlist after the second session is missed.

We are located inside Christ Church Washington Heights at 4111 Broadway (between 173rd and 174th Street) in New York City.
